Version 6.0

Geogiga XW Tomo 6.0 has following new features and improvements:

  • Receiver coordinates can be loaded from a text file.
  • The auto fill feature in importing seismic data is imporved to allow a column to be individually filled with any two nearest rows.
  • The frequency filter includes Butterworth and Ormsby filters with the option of band pass, low pass, high pass, band reject, and notch.
  • A window is used in the frequency filter to reduce the energy leakage caused by FFT.
  • The spectrum curve in the frequency filter dialog box can be displayed as amplitude or power in dB or relative values with customized view settings.
  • The extreme long sample length is well handled in the frequency filter.
  • The trigger time can be corrected interactively or based on a specified value with the support of multi-step undo/redo.
  • In the trace magnifier, the first arrival of a trace is automatically tracked according to the first arrivals of its nearest traces.
  • A layer initial model can be generated based on the principle of Crosshole Testing.
  • The Travel Time Error Analysis dialog box is simplified.
  • The display of tomography image is improved.
  • The tomography image can be plotted as contours and filled with editable symbols.
  • The colorbar is shown vertically or horizontally.
  • The mapping range of images can be fixed during the review of each iteration.
  • The annotations on axes are better aligned to avoid the labels overlapped.
  • When a variety of data is saved, the output directory is checked and an appropriate extension is automatically appended to the output filename.
  • Any extra margin is removed in saving an image.
  • The user guide is updated.
  • The version number consists with Geogiga Seismic Pro.

Version 2.0

The update in Geogiga XW Tomo 2.0 includes:

  • Label receiver locations instead of trace numbers in the picking view.
  • Enable to modify geometry after loading seismic data.
  • Save seismic data in a different file.
  • Match seismic data and TT curves according to geometry rather than shot number.
  • Add ability to build initial model.
  • Manually build the initial model.
  • Limit the velocity range for inversion.
  • Define picking error in milliseconds instead of number of samples.
  • Simplify the error analysis dialog box.
  • Keep the color bar consistent during iterations.
  • Improve the inversion algorithm.
  • Clip the swing of trace wiggle to half of the spacing between traces.
  • Reset the browse path when opening curves.
  • Better default axis labels for the color section display.
  • Fix the bug with AGC for extreme small seismic data values.
  • Fix the bug when restarting tomo after review.
  • Fix the abnormal exit when the geometry is not defined in seismic data.

Version 1.01

The update in Geogiga DW Tomo 1.01 includes:

  • Select a trace with the [->] or [<-] key in the picking window or in the trace magnifier.
  • Show the zero line and the trace amplitude value in the trace magnifier.
  • Shift all picks of a shot.
  • Automatically set the default grid spacing according to the shot locations and the group interval.
  • Optimize the forward modeling for more accurate and faster calculation.
  • Define annotation fonts for curve plotting.
  • Enhance SEG-Y data loading.
  • Specify the measurement units.
  • Add the getting started guide.
