Version 6.0
Geogiga Surface 6.0 has following new features and improvements:
- Receiver coordinates can be loaded from a text file.
- The auto fill feature in importing seismic data is imporved to allow a column to be individually filled with any two nearest rows.
- The dispersion spectrum can be generated in the F-K, F-V, or F-P domain.
- The dispersion spectrum can be balanced before it is generated.
- The test of apparent velocity on seismic data helps in setting the maximum velocity.
- The amplitude spectrum analysis assists in setting the maximum frequency.
- The parameters previously used in the calculation is automatically restored.
- The SASW is included to generate the dispersion curve from the unwrapped phase spectrum.
- The dispersion curve can be picked on the dispersion spectrum with a separate or continuous picking mode.
- The picks are automatically tracked in the continuous picking mode when you drag the left mouse button along the peaks of dispersion spectrum.
- The picks color can be changed.
- The apparent Vs can be calculated based on the phase velocity.
- A wizzard is introduced in merging the dispersion curves saved in different files.
- The model can be annotated during the inversion.
- The Reiterations parameter is added to automatically restart the inversion with the model obtained from the previous iterations.
- The inverted model can be automatically saved.
- The Curve Properties dialog box is simplified.
- The dispersion curves are able to be separately plotted in the main window.
- The apparent Vs can be plotted as well.
- A variety of results can be exported to a text file.
- The annotations on axes are better aligned to avoid the labels overlapped.
- When a variety of data is saved, the output directory is checked and an appropriate extension is automatically appended to the output filename.
- Any extra margin is removed in saving an image.
- The user guide is updated.
- The version number consists with Geogiga Seismic Pro.
In addition to the new features and improvements in Surface 6.0, the following new features are available in Surface Plus 6.0:
- SPAC and ESPAC are included to handle the passive surface waves.
- The array used in the SPAC method can interactively controlled.
- The dispersion curve can be extracted from the SPAC function analysis.
- The combination of dispersion spectrum is also enabled for active surface waves.
- A progress bar is added to be capable of terminating the time-consuming calculation in analyzing the passive surface waves.
- Time segments can be counted in analyzing the passive surface waves with the FK or SPAC method.
- The Time Segmentation dialog box are designed to define and QC time segments.
- Time segments can be interactively defined on the ruler next to the display of seismic data. The definition is synchronized with the Time Segmentation dialog box.
